I continue looking for items to knit for my boy. I've found a couple things that I really like, but for the most part I'm not finding much. I do like the Toddler Overalls by Whitney Van Nes. These are knit with EuroFlax, but I don't like the lack of elasticity in this fiber. When I knit them up, I think I'll try another fiber.
The knitting may have to wait though. I think that I have my first knitting injury. Yes injury! my right arm aches and when I move it in specific way it really hurts. I've looked it up and its official name is "Tennis Elbow" , but since I don't play tennis and I've been knitting up a storm lately I'm renaming it "Knitter's Elbow." I bought myself a brace and I'm wearing it daily, but still the pain. Even with the pain in my arm, I can't seem to resist knitting. I'm working on a sweater for my grand niece, Skylar, and I've also got a stocking in the queue for Kieran. He must have a stocking for Christmas.
How did it get to be mid-November already? The count down to the Holidays is in full swing and I feel like the slinky dog that left half of itself back in October. Ah well, enough of the belly aching. One to Thanksgiving!
Found a great recipe in the Weight Watchers pamplet for green beans. Oh how I hate green bean casserole, so we'll have none of that this year. And I'm thinking baked Sweet Potatoes. Does it sound just plain wrong to make a Thanksgiving feast that won't add an inch to your middle? I don't think so. Anyway I'm looking for more recipes that will still allow me to stay in my current pant size while still satisfying the Thankgiving feast.
Time flies when you have an infant, repeated colds, work, and Halloween. So here's a bulleted update of our month of October.
Unfortunately the quilt making was not finished before I caught my cold, so it still sits unfinished on the table. The witch wall hanging is also halfway finished. I do have high hopes that I'll get back to it soon, so that I can put it away for next year's Halloween celebrations. Now on to November.
