Tis the Season

Tis the Season for ORANGE!

Oh and anything green and ghoulish. I've switched gears a bit today and decided to dabble in quilt fabrics in celebration of October and the coming fesitvities for Halloween (I just love Halloween). Last weekend I stopped by Luella's and bought some fabric for a Witch Wall hanging and also picked up one of her boxes of 5" squares from the Halloween themed fabrics. He he why do I think this is so much fun. Kieran when to sleep and I got the sewing machine out and a short hour and a half later I had this.

My first 'quilt'! Well, I'm not sure that it really qualifies since its just a bunch of randomnly sewn together squares with a black border, but it's a first a first step. I still need to get some batting and more fabric for the back, but putting this together so very quickly has made me feel good. Now if I can just get it finished by Halloween. HA! I'm planning on just putting it together with ties. Definitely for a first step there won't be any fancy quilting.

Ok, now on to the Hall Hanging! Guess that will be done during the next nap.
